Prologue- Hunters

Zorla prowled through the bushes, spying her sister Shima in the shadows. Zorla growled in her throat at the sight of her sister. Shima looked up her ears perked and eyes narrowed. "Ontai?" which was wolf for hello , she snarled.  "Hello?" Shima let out a spine-tingling bark. Zorla bent down farther, causing the leaves to rustle. Shima swung around towards Zorla and sprang into the bushes, biting into her scruff and throwing her into the open. "Zorla?" Shima yelped. The black and grey she-wolf pulled herself to her paws, bowing her head. Shima growled at her. "I thought we vowed never to see each other again! But no, you followed me, because you wanted to get revenge on me, well that didn't really work out did it? I should kill you, shouldn't I? But I can't it's against the code of the Wildon, the free wolves." Zorla snarled, showing her shard canine fangs ,"You know I love you Shima, I would not do anything to hurt you!", her face softened as she turned away. Shima snarled, "Liar" she muttered and turned, flicking her white tail behind her.
She wandered into the woods but was suddenly knocked into a tree by a large weight. Her sister towered over her, grey jaws bloodied. Shima yelped and swung out a paw to claw her sister. Wolves don't usually use their claws to fight, but this was an exception. Zorla jumped back, giving Shima time to get up. The she-wolf winced at the wound in her neck but was able to steady herself, looking at Zorla with a pained look. "What happened sister, we used to get along!" Shima suddenly cried. Zorla narrowed her eyes, "I'll tell you what happened, dear sister, our parents died and we were left in the winter! Guess who's fault that was?" "yours"  they said in unison, snarling again. Shima lunged at Zorla but being smaller was easily thrown off. She managed to get her teeth in Zorla ear and now part of it had been torn off. Zorla yelped and screeched, "This isn't over yet, Shima!" while disappearing into the underbrush.
Shima sighed and collapsed onto the soft earth, a single tear draining down her cheek.
